It is plausible that everyone knows about ShamWow, even people who may not own televisions. Vince Shlomi aka Vince Offer, aka The ShamWow Guy brought the ShamWow to national attention with his trade show booth antics to the small screen. His style brought people in by figuratively winking at them during his pitch and letting them know he knows what they are really thinking. This disarmed them and let people enjoy a good product pitch. This has sold millions of shammy towels to numerous jobs.
Dry Large Surface Areas
An old school leather chamois pretty much had a single use, drying a car. It had to collect moisture over a large area and not leave behind streaks or spots. A shammy towel can do the same thing, but because it is cloth and not leather it can be washed out to be used in areas one would not want use a chamois. Places like the dashboards, wheels, bumpers, seats, and consoles. Also, wringing out a shammy towel is easier and quicker to dry more quicker all the while absorbing more also.
Use As A Towel
Shammy towels have been around for a long time and their first use is was as a towel. Before ShamWow made it big, these shammy towels were sold by camping retailers and military surplus. Because they absorb more for their size than regular towels they are great were the bulk and weight of regular towels make carrying them an issue. People like backpackers and swimmers love them, plus they quickly expel their moisture thus drying quickly. The trade off is that a shammy towel will draw water in and need a bit more time to absorb moisture. This is opposed to a normal towel where one can just wipe.
Catch Water Or Absorb Water
Place a shammy towel down as a mat. This can be outside a shower or under a dish drain. It can also be a place where water drips but splatters. Again, one of the great benefits is that they can be washed. So, do not be afraid of using them in places that may scare others off.
Remember that they are awesome at absorbing water, so use for spills on carpets. A regular towel or rag will get saturated to only spread the spill. A ShamWow will keep drawing liquid in and rid itself of most of it just by simply wringing it out. Use this method to dry sweaters by rolling a shammy towel with a sweater. Good for pets too as many animals do not enjoy being rubbed or patted with a towel. But the place and absorb method is great for drying pets.
Replace Paper Towels
The reuse factor makes buying paper towels obsolete. Use them in kitchens for spills and cleaning. Keep in the bathroom to keep everything dry, thereby reducing mold or mildew by having a dry bathroom. Clean glass and mirrors throughout the house and cars. Use them for household chores like dusting and polishing. Another great feature of a shammy towel is that it can be cut into smaller sections. Regular towels would fall apart if that was tried.
This makes ShamWow a must have for every house.
