One of the reasons I love As Seen On TV products is that these products come from entrepreneurs, not huge corporations. A dream to get it on TV, and trying to fill a need. Then there is a creative pitch to get you interested in buying, an art unto itself. This was shown many times over in the show Pitchmen. RIP Billy Mays.

DJ Steve Porter is a remix artist both visually and sound. So, DJ Steve Porter does a remix of the Slap Chop commercial and then his fame come along. He discusses that a bit here in an interview on Fox News.
Again what is enjoyable is the win-win nature of this story. Vince Offer offering his Slap Chop version of the Chop-O-Matic as an entrepreneur. Then DJ Steve Porter taking that commercial and making it his showpiece of his capabilities. Which in returns adds more momentum to the kitschy fandom of the Slap Chop. This work lifts the profile of the product and the artist. The wins keep on coming.
